Here's the list of Australian and international singers and groups who appeared in some episodes of Countdown that was erased which it's come from Countdown Annual 1978-79 book:
Leo Sayer-Hosted the show and performed two songs live on the show at Melbourne in 1978
The Bee Gees-Hosted on two occasions in 1978
AC/DC-Angus Young hosted Countdown in 1975[co-hosted with Bob Hudson] and '78
10cc-Graham Gouldman and Dave Stewart co-hosted in 1977
Dr.Hook-Ray Sawyer and Dennis Cocorriere co-hosted on both visits in 1976, '77 or '78
Alice Cooper-Hosted being taped at Adelaide in 1977
Status Quo?-The first two appearances on Countdown
Blondie-Appear on show and Deborah Harry co-hosted with Shirley Strachan at Sydney in 1978 and Debbie wearing som leopard outfit, probably circa 1979?
Elton John-An exclusice interview while in Australia to promote the film Tommy in 1975 and two other exclusive interviews
The film clip of Bob Hudson's The Newcastle Song directed by former director Paul Drane
Shaun Cassidy-First appearance on the show in November 1976 and co-hosted the show a year later
Leif Garrett-Interviewed by Molly in LA October 1977 first and then, co-hosted Countdown and performed two songs live while on a promotional visit to Australia early in 1978
Foreigner-Co-hosted the show in 1978
Meatloaf-Hosted the show in July 1978
Samantha Sang-Hosted the show in 1978
Supercharge-Albie Donnelly hosted the show in 1977
Pussyfoot-Hosted the show in 1976 or '77
Bay City Rollers-Several appearances on Countdown
Suzi Quatro-Her first appearance on Countdown in 1974
Graham Bonnett-Hosted the show in 1977 or '78
Rick Wakeman
Billy Joel
Hot Chocolate-Errol Brown hosted Countdown during a visit to Australia in July 1978
Eddie Money-One of the new stars featured in interviews on the show in 1978
Tom Robinson Band-One of the best interviews screened by Countdown during 1977 or '78
Teenage Radio Stars-Performed I Wanna Be Your Baby on Countdown guest hosted by Meatloaf in July 1978 which I saw a bit was featured in a 2003 ABC TV Australian pop music history documentary, Love Is In The Air
The Boys Next Door-Performed These Boots Are Made For Walkin' on Countdown in 1978
Johnny Cougar-Molly Meldrum taped an interview with Cougar which subsequently appear on the show in overseas earlier this year
